Our Process

Considering contacting What about Wendy Painting and Design for a Design Consultation?  If so we would like you to know what the process is…

Once we schedule your free color consultation, Wendy Forgus owner of What about Wendy Painting and Design will come out your your home or work site with a complete design portfolio, color samples, and tape measure to get the measurements of your space. During our consult, we will work with the aesthetic of your space, including your furniture, artwork and other elements in the space to come up with the perfect design plan for you. Once we have settled on a finish, the color of the space and/or the techniques we will ask for your contact email.

In your email, you will find the written estimate which will include all paint, materials and labor.  We submit one free sample of the design that was discussed in our first consultation.  Any sample made after the first free sample will cost 45 dollars. After the customer looks over the bid, and the customer would like to proceed with the contract, What about Wendy asks fort a 50% deposit to cover all driving expenses, paint, and materials to start the project.  Once the deposit has been collected we schedule a time to start the project, all the project lead times are different, so we will discuss the time frame with each customer as it is always different.

What about Wendy Painting and Design is usually booked 2- 3 weeks out, but this can vary as well.  So if you are looking for a project to be completed at a certain time, please call us a couple weeks ahead of time so that we can assure you that your project will be done on the day that works best for you!

Please keep in mind, when the customer finalizes the decision on the sample/samples provided, they will need to sign off on the chosen sample.  We then will apply your finish on the scheduled date.  Also, please note, various fees are involved in decorative finishes, which will all be included in your estimate, however, please keep in mind faux finish application can take up to 6 times longer than standard painting. And each step will look different then the provided sample, so we ask the customer to wait until we are completely finished with the process before judging the final finish.  Our goal is for you to be amazed with the end result, that is why we back all of our work with our 100% satisfaction guarantee.

After the project is finished, we will do a walk thru of the space to ensure satisfaction!  We will leave the customer with touch up paint, business cards and anything else they may need to ensure long lasting finishes.  At that time, we ask for the balance due and if they may know of any friends or family members that need any painting, design work or decorative finishes completed.  We greatly appreciate referrals, so if you love our work we ask you to share it with those that you love!
